Some things I found interesting to do with sustainability –
Carlsberg aim to create the worlds first fully biodegradable bottle. They are currently working on the “Green Fibre Bottle”, a lighter packaging that is made from sustainably sourced wood-fiber. Not only will the bottle be sustainable with no waste but apparently they expect the bottle to stay cooler for longer, when compared to their aluminium cans. This could be a real big step forward for all companies manufacturing glass bottles.
I watched a Velvet(toilet paper) advert the other day. In this they try to persuade the viewer that using they’re toilet paper they are doing good to the planet. offer peace of mind. when I researched into it on they’re website I found this –
They have apparently planted over six million tree’s and compared to industry standards they have help give more to the life to the planet(as shown below).
I also noticed when scanning through they’re site this logo/symbol at the bottom of the page –
“SCA is a leading global hygiene products and forest products company that develops and produces sustainable personal care, tissue and timber products.”
They not only work with Velvet but companies like Chuselle, Plenty, Bodyform, Tena and many more.
Already some great things to look at for my Dissertation.
