After comparing the two topics I was caught between, I have decided to proceed with “Volunteering”. seeing the benefit’S it can have I really want to aware others of this.
- volunteering looks great on your cv and can help you get a job.
- It can help somebody that needs it.
- if your stuck in the house, It can get you out of the house.
- it will help you meet new people.
- Volunteering can better your Communication, Team work and Problem solving skills.
Originally I found Sport-Wales who currently have a campaign for encouraging volunteers to help in sports across Wales. This was called “behind every star” http://sport.wales/news–events/news–events/our-campaigns/behind-every-star.aspx
I didn’t want to limit myself to just volunteering for sports so I researched other companies.
I found VCS Cardiff –
“VCS Cardiff is the operating name of Voluntary Community Service (Cymru) – a registered charity which runs the Cardiff Volunteer Centre and has been working to match potential volunteers with opportunities to help in Cardiff since 1964.”
and SVC(Student Volunteering Cardiff) –
“Student Volunteering Cardiff (SVC) is a charity run by the students at Cardiff University. We volunteer in and around the city of Cardiff working with the elderly, young, disadvantaged and vulnerable members of the community on a wide variety of different projects.”
I have decided to side with VCS Cardiff due to not wanting to limit myself to just students. VCS are located all across Wales and the one i need to contact is –
