Week three and milestone 3
Flower bag & award Idea
With the promising idea’s that we’d discussed with the Lynsey Jackson (Our client), this week is about taking them forward. One of the idea we had, using the bag that contained the take aways, didn’t quite come across very well to Lynsey. Since then I’ve thought about it and I think I’ve got a solution. What if the bag, which would contain the ‘take aways’ like the chocolate, seeds and badges, was also the pot in which the seeds grew in? and what if this was a an award for the evening? Lynsey stated due to it being a low funded and new event that there wasn’t any awards. So what if this ‘take away’ bag was an recognition of your participation in the awards, in the shape of a beautiful flower? We’d be encouraging sustainable action and being creative with it.
Then theres the question of the soil and seeds. they could be contained separately in the bag before being mixed, or I remember Seed Bombs.
Trigger your seedbom by placing it in water until soaked.
Throw your seedbom into abandoned and derelict ground. Look for signs of soil and natural light.
Grow your seedboms where they land.
These Seed Bombs I found a while ago on Ohh Deer (which is an British company) for only £2.95 a bomb, but there are loads out there. I like the quirkiness of them and its some thing I think people would want to try out. Obviously these bombs are for throwing, but could easily be used in our idea. There are also other example –
Do it yours
Apparently seed bombs are too difficult to make. I had a look and Pinterest and discovered a loads of recipes for creating them Pinterest – https://uk.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=seed%20bombs&term_meta%5B%5D=seed%7Ctyped&term_meta%5B%5D=bombs%7Ctyped
